Brønderslev Angling Association has access to fishing in Ryå from Bjergbakkevej near Hollensted and to the bridge at Sdr. Salt. In addition, you may fish in Nørre å from Frederikshavnsvej to the outlet in Ryå. However, there are some "holes" in access to fishing. They appear on the map of the fishing waters on the association's website: www.blf.dk
There is a good stock of sea trout in both streams, which can be caught from May and the rest of the season until 15 November.
The fish are mostly caught on upstream spinners, but can also be caught on ordinary downstream fishing with blinkers, wobblers and worms. As something new, a number of sea trout are caught on dry fly in early summer, while wet fly is the best later in the year.
A stock of brown trout has once again formed, which forms the basis for dry fly fishing. Young and old in particular enjoy this fish a lot, as it is easier to bite than sea trout. The members of the association mostly release the brown trout, as the stock is very vulnerable.
When you are a member of the Brønderslev Pleasure Fishing Association, you can also fish at Nedre Ryå Association's fishing water. It stretches from the Blokhusvejbroen to the outlet in the Limfjorden. However, there are also some "holes" in this fishery. See the fishing water at: www.nedre-ryaa.dk
In total, membership of the BLF provides access to fishing on more than 70 kilometers of fishing water.
The trout in BLF´'s fishing waters are protected from: 16 November - 1 March. Fallout fish are totally protected
Minimum size for sea trout is 40 cm and for brown trout 35 cm. In addition, the minimum size of pike in the river is 60 cm.
