Fishing in Kraghedesøen

Kraghedesøen is located on Skarvadvej south of Hvilshøj (Brønderslev). Here, Brønderslev Angling Association can offer good and cozy fishing in a very clear water lake. In addition, the lake is beautiful, and many non-fishermen use the lake for an excursion.

However, it is at your own risk if you go out on the fishing bridges.

The pike are caught on various baits, where blink, spinner, wobblers are the most common artificial baits, but some fishermen have started catching the pike on large flies. However, most fishing is done with a stopper and live bait. Baitfish are easy to catch in the lake.

The perch are few in number, but fish over a kilo are not uncommon.
When the shelf is in bloom, you may be lucky enough to catch large herons. You often see otters in the lake.

For the sake of the fish spawning, the lake is protected in April until the 1st Sunday in May, when the annual fishing competition: "Majturen" reopens the fishing season.

1 pike between 65 and 80 cm per. day. The board recommends that all pike be released.
