The regional memory collection for Østvendsyssel

The regional memorial collection for Østvendsyssel consists of 2 smaller houses and a smaller farm. Together, they tell the story of Østvendsyssel from the Stone Age until the middle of our century. In the watchmaker's house, the history of the oldest times is told, and we see the farmer's home around the 1800s. The museum also has a general store from the 1930s, a forge, a shoemaker's workshop etc. Farmhouse is under construction, and we cultivate the field with old crops and machinery.

Museumsgården Lille Knudsgård with 60 acres of land was one of the 13 farms in Try in 1801. The farmhouse from 1835 has furniture from the last owners. The cowshed from 1904 is in red stone and the barn is from the 1800th century. When the farm was subdivided in 1917, a fourth was long demolished.

Every year, several activity days are held, including Autumn day which is a permanent tradition every year.

On activity days, the workshops are staffed and the exhibitions open at 11 - 16. The grocer's shop is open and there is coffee on tap in Knudsgårds Rolling. Look more at website and the Facebook.

Here will be open at. 13 - 16 other Sundays from 14 April to 20 October or by appointment.

The regional collection for Østvendsyssel (formerly Try Museum) was until 1 January 2018 part of the Museums in Brønderslev Municipality, but has from this date become an independent association.
