Walking route: The daisy route in Brønderslev Municipality

Distance: 157.44 Km

The Margueritruten is the special Danish tourist route that runs through the whole of Denmark - but not Bornholm and the islands in the Kattegat.

The route is a continuous process and does not pass the same road twice.

The daisy route is a long specially marked tourist route, which is characterized by the brown signs with a white/yellow daisy. The route is 3500 km and stretches through the whole of Denmark, past more than 2000 of the country's biggest sights and attractions, and through some of the most beautiful scenery you can experience in Denmark.

The daisy route therefore also runs through large parts of Brønderslev Municipality.

The daisy route stretches over 4.218 kilometres. The route can be seen in its entire length here on the website of the Norwegian Natural Resources Agency and on the outdoor map udinaturen.dk, and here you can plan your trip and find your way around the route.

The Marguerite route was inaugurated in 1991. As a tribute to Queen Margrethe II, the route was named after the queen, and the symbol for the route is inspired by the jewelry that the queen's mother, Ingrid, had made for her wedding to the later King Frederik IX in 1935 .

The Danish Nature Agency is responsible for disseminating and maintaining the Daisy Route on digital maps - udinaturen.dk - while the municipalities are responsible for the signage along the route.

A Margueritrute App has been developed which, among other things, provides detailed information about cultural treasures and opportunities for outdoor activities along the route. The free App is available for iPhones.

If you want to know more about the daisy route you can visit The Norwegian Nature Agency's website.
