North Sea Path Hiking Route

Distance: 161.37 Km

The Nordsøstien is part of the North Sea Trail and the NAVE Nortail project, where the goal is to establish walking routes on old historical tracks around the entire North Sea Trail.

26 regions from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, England and Scotland participate in the project, where rescue routes, church paths, royal roads, drift roads and sailing trips are linked with natural and cultural historical sights.

The North Sea Trail has a total length of 5.000 km and is marked everywhere with a signpost "N" shaped like a wave. The path mainly follows existing field and forest roads, paths and roads in the open country. In some places there are trekking paths that follow the terrain, divides or leeward fences.

In the Top of Denmark, regardless of interest and level of ambition, there are routes along the coast and the associated hinterland.

In Brønderslev Municipality, you will meet parts of the North Sea stretches "Sæby-Melholt" and "Melholt-Lille Vildmose".

Here you can, among other things, experience the Port City Asaa with an idyllic harbor environment and the child-friendly Asaa Beach. Also, do not deceive yourself for a unique nature experience in Asaa-Geraa Game Reserve, where you can see rare flies and enjoy beautiful, unspoilt places.
