Asaa and Geraa Game Reserve

Distance: 157.52 Km

Asaa and Geraa Strandenge is an area that the Danish Ministry of the Environment and Energy has designated as a game reserve.

The area offers natural salt meadows that are replaced by cultivated areas, and can be described as a mini mudflat. The site is significant for waders, who use it as a pit stop, pantry and breeding area.

Spring and autumn are high season for bird fry and migratory birds, and therefore during these periods bird enthusiasts come to the beaches to experience and observe the many bird species that migrate past or seek food. Birds of prey such as kestrel and buzzards cross the area, and if you are lucky, you can observe them in droves.
