Visit Dådyrene by Brønderslev

Distance: 157.12 Km

Take the children on a trip to this scenic area just north of Brønderslev town, where you can meet animals while you breathe fresh air away from the stress and hustle and bustle of the city.

Just outside the town of Brønderslev in a green and secluded area, you will find this wonderful oasis. The area offers the opportunity for a nice walk in the 20-hectare forest, which is a mixed ring of conifers and deciduous trees. Take a rest and enjoy the area on the newly landscaped perennial avenue.

The area offers good experiences for both large and small, and here you can meet a rich wildlife with, for example, deer, beautiful peacocks and a lake with large koi carps. Here you can get really close to the fallow deer and feed them through the enclosure, enjoy the sight of the beautiful pheasants, or just listen to the chirping of the many bird species that live in the forest. The children have plenty of opportunities to frolic, either on the playground for the little ones or the nature playground for the slightly older ones with, among other things, swings and a cable car. In the middle of the forest you will find a hut, which is always open, with toilets and a small kitchen.

Go exploring and see if you can find the little path called the "love path", which winds across the other paths.

In the forest and the surrounding area, you will find many idyllic walking routes that guide you past all the things that the forest has to offer. The forest is within walking distance Grindsted Plantation og Nørre Ådalen, which are also beautiful natural areas.

Address: Hjørringvej 180, 9700 Brønderslev.

The forest area is located behind the Psychiatric Hospital. The area is publicly accessible and open to all, however, in the interests of patients who also use the forest, this must be taken into account.

About the fallow deer:

The fallow deer is a medium-sized deer species - it is larger than the roe deer, but smaller than the roe deer. You can recognize the male by the large shovel-shaped antlers. In the summer period, most fallow deer have a reddish-brown color with white spots across the back and sides as well as the long black stripe from the neck, all the way down the back and down the tail. In winter, the fallow deer is brown with a light belly.
